From set building and scenic painting to costume stitching and sound plotting, every show shines thanks to the incredible efforts of our backstage crew just as much as our performers.
We’re always on the lookout for passionate creatives who want to dive into all aspects of stagecraft. Whether you’re a DIY whiz, a sound enthusiast, a lighting plot genius—or you bring a whole new superpower to the table—we’d love to meet you!

ETC is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with all aspects of production. There are lots of ways you can get involved – it really just depends on what you are interested in! ETC also welcomes young people from the local community who might be keen to learn about or get involved with community theatre. Most activities take place in the evenings and on weekends.
Directing
Please read the Expression of Interest (EOI) form if you are interested in directing a play at ETC. It contains all the details of what's needed to apply.
Backstage
Get involved in Stage Management, Lighting, Audio, Set Design & Construction, Costuming, Make-Up, or Marketing.
Front-of-House
Get involved by preparing the theatre, greeting and ushering patrons, and selling drinks, confectionary and programs.
